Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions explain the rules that apply when you use our website or purchase jewellery from Aurum & Relics Ltd.

Last updated: 12 August 2026

Important Information

Please read these Terms and Conditions before placing an order. By submitting an order through our website, you agree that these terms will apply to your purchase.

These terms do not limit any rights you have under UK consumer law. If there is a conflict between these terms and a right that cannot legally be excluded, your statutory right will apply.

1. About Aurum & Relics

This website and online store are operated by Aurum & Relics Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

2. Who These Terms Apply To

These terms apply to consumers purchasing goods from our website. A consumer is an individual acting mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

If you wish to purchase goods for resale or another business purpose, please contact us before placing an order because different terms may apply.

3. Products and Descriptions

We take reasonable care to describe and display our products accurately. Product pages may include information about dimensions, materials, colours, finishes, stones, packaging and care.

  • Product images are intended to show the design and appearance of the item.
  • Colours may appear slightly different because of lighting, screen settings and photography.
  • Measurements and weights may be approximate unless expressly stated otherwise.
  • Natural stones, pearls and handmade details may have small, individual variations.
  • Packaging shown in photography may differ unless it is specifically included in the product description.

Goods supplied to consumers will be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for any purpose made known to us where required by law.

4. Placing an Order

Before submitting an order, you will be able to review the products, quantities, delivery address, delivery method and total price. You are responsible for checking that this information is correct.

After you place an order, we will normally send an acknowledgement email. This confirms that we received your order but does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.

A contract between you and Aurum & Relics Ltd is formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation, unless we expressly confirm acceptance earlier.

If we cannot accept an order

We may be unable to accept an order because:

  • The product is unavailable.
  • Your payment could not be authorised.
  • We cannot deliver to the supplied address.
  • We reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised activity.
  • A product, price or description contained an obvious error.
  • A legal or regulatory restriction prevents the sale.

If we cannot accept an order, we will inform you and refund any payment taken for the affected item.

5. Prices and Payment

Product prices are displayed in pounds sterling unless another currency is clearly shown. Any applicable taxes and delivery charges will be displayed before you submit payment.

Payment must be made using a payment method available during checkout. Payments may be processed by WooPayments, Stripe or their payment-processing partners.

We take reasonable care to ensure that prices are correct. If we discover an obvious pricing error before accepting your order, we will contact you and give you the option to continue at the correct price or cancel the order for a full refund.

We will not increase the agreed price after your order has been accepted, except where you request and agree to a change.

6. Availability

Products are subject to availability. Placing an item in your basket does not reserve it.

If a product becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you. We may offer a suitable alternative, but you are not required to accept it. If you do not accept an alternative, we will refund the unavailable item.

7. Delivery

Orders are normally processed within one business day after payment is received. Orders placed on weekends or UK public holidays are normally processed on the next business day.

United Kingdom Royal Mail Tracked 24 normally takes 1–2 business days and Royal Mail Tracked 48 normally takes 2–3 business days after dispatch.
International delivery Delivery time depends on the destination, customs processing and the local delivery provider.

Delivery dates are estimates unless we have expressly agreed a guaranteed date. We remain responsible for delivering your order within the period required by applicable consumer law.

Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Contact us promptly if you notice an error. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after dispatch.

Risk and ownership

Responsibility for the goods passes to you when you, or a person identified by you, takes physical possession of them. Ownership passes to you when we have received payment in full.

International orders

International customers may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes and other charges imposed by the destination country, unless checkout expressly states that those charges are included.

Further information is available on our Delivery Information page.

8. Cancellation and 30-Day Returns

If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you normally have the legal right to cancel your order without giving a reason from the time the order is placed until 14 days after the goods are delivered.

To use the legal cancellation right, you must clearly tell us before the cancellation period ends. You then normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

In addition to the legal cancellation right, Aurum & Relics offers a 30-day returns period from delivery, subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy. This additional policy does not reduce your statutory rights.

Condition of returned goods

You may inspect an item as you would reasonably do in a shop. We may make a lawful deduction from a refund if unnecessary handling has reduced the value of the goods.

Please return goods securely packaged and include sufficient order information so that we can identify the purchase.

Return postage

Unless an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or we have agreed otherwise, you are normally responsible for the direct cost of returning it. We recommend using a tracked postal service and retaining proof of postage.

Refunds

Where the legal cancellation right applies, we will refund the product price and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered for the order. Additional charges for an enhanced or express delivery option are not normally refundable.

Refunds will be made to the original payment method within the applicable legal period. We may wait until we receive the returned goods or evidence that they have been sent back, where the law allows.

Exceptions

The legal right to cancel may not apply to:

  • Personalised, engraved or custom-made products.
  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons after the seal has been broken, where the legal exception applies.
  • Goods that have been altered, damaged or inseparably mixed after delivery.

These exceptions do not remove your rights where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.

9. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

You have legal rights if goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or not fit for their intended purpose. These rights apply to full-price and sale products.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may be entitled to a refund, repair, replacement or price reduction.

Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide your order number and a description of the problem. Photographs may help us understand damage or an incorrect item, but they do not replace your statutory rights.

We will provide or reimburse reasonable return postage where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described and a return is required.

10. Promotions and Discount Codes

Promotions and discount codes may have additional conditions displayed with the offer, including an expiry date, eligible products or a minimum order value.

  • Only one code may be used per order unless stated otherwise.
  • Codes cannot normally be exchanged for cash.
  • A discount cannot be applied retrospectively after an order has been submitted.
  • We may withdraw a promotion before an order is placed, but this will not affect an order already accepted.

11. Gift Packaging

Where gift packaging is included or purchased, we will take reasonable care to present the order attractively. Packaging may vary from photographs depending on product size and availability.

More information is available on our Gift Packaging page.

12. Website Use

You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or accounts.
  • Introduce malware, harmful code or automated attacks.
  • Use the website to commit fraud or violate another person’s rights.
  • Copy, scrape or commercially reuse website content without permission, except where permitted by law.
  • Interfere with the normal operation or security of the website.

We may reasonably restrict access where necessary to protect the website, customers or our business.

13. Intellectual Property

Website text, layout, graphics, branding and original photography belong to Aurum & Relics Ltd or are used with permission. They are protected by intellectual-property law.

You may view and use the website for personal shopping purposes. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

Third-party brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

14. Privacy and Cookies

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Information about cookies, analytics and advertising technologies is available in our Cookie Policy.

15. Our Responsibility

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable when it is an obvious result of the breach or both parties knew it might happen when the contract was formed.

We are not responsible for loss that was not caused by our breach, was not reasonably foreseeable or resulted from information or instructions supplied incorrectly by the customer.

We supply products for private and domestic use. If you use a product for a commercial or resale purpose without prior agreement, we are not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, revenue, opportunity or business interruption.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, faulty or misdescribed goods, your statutory consumer rights or anything else that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

We are not responsible for delay caused by an event outside our reasonable control. If such an event affects your order, we will take reasonable steps to reduce the delay and contact you where appropriate.

If there is a substantial delay, you may have the right to cancel the affected order and receive a refund for goods not supplied.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions when our business, services or legal obligations change. The terms applying to your purchase will normally be those available when you placed the order.

Changes will not retrospectively alter an accepted order without your agreement, except where a change is required by law.

18. Governing Law and Courts

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also rely on applicable mandatory local consumer protections and bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing in these terms removes rights available under the law of the country in which you live.

19. Other Important Terms

  • If part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining terms will continue to apply.
  • A delay in enforcing a right does not mean that the right has been waived.
  • The contract is between you and Aurum & Relics Ltd. No other person has a right to enforce it unless the law provides otherwise.

20. Model Cancellation Form

You may use the form below to cancel an eligible order, but you do not have to use it. You can instead send us a clear cancellation request by email.
